Hi, I’m Becky. I do copywriting not business whispering, so I can’t tell you what your business is or how to fix its problems.

I can tell you you won’t sell it and its services while speaking like an employee.

Listing skills as services is not speaking as a business. Lengthy copy is not a credential. Your profile isn’t a cover letter and you’re not pleading with HR for a shot. A business has an identity and voice that it speaks with to lay out who, what, and how on equal terms.

I made this mistake when I first got on LinkedIn. I read a lot of profiles that maxed out the character limit with all of the above. I panicked. I wrote lots of pointless filler shite to ‘fit in’.

Newsflash: fitting in is not what you want to do.

So, have an objective look at your profile. Are you speaking like a business? Or is your message getting lost in the dross of sameness?

I can tell you for free (link opens in new tab).
