Always do these 3 things and you won't go wrong.

Forget your peers. They’re not who you’re writing to.

They’re not. Not unless you’re selling peer-to-peer services.

Yes, you want to look credible. And there’s a whole host of other ‘yous’ out there who could pick you apart.

But largely, they don’t care about you and your business. They have their own to worry about.

Write to your ideal client

Directly to your ideal client.

You’re not closing the door on business; you’re showing the right person through it.

Talking directly to that person shows them you’re for them. That you understand what their issues are and how to go about resolving them.

So:

-          What problem does your ideal client have

-          What’s the cause

-          How does it affect them

-          What’s the solution you offer

Write around those things on your business socials.

In plain, simple English

Using insider language and technical terms looks authoritative, but if you’re client can’t understand what that means for them, you might as well use ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. Tell them straight.

Clarity gets people places faster.
