GIVING YOUR BUSINESS ITS VOICE

BUSINESS NOT QUITE... BUSINESSING?
It’s either your offer or your copy.
Quick test: does any of this sound familiar?
-
People say yes when you speak, then die on your landing page
-
Profile views that go nowhere
-
Low post engagement from a micro fan club
-
Newsletters that appear to fall into a nether dimension
Then it’s your copy.
Whatever you’re saying and however you’re positioning yourself when you speak isn’t there.
Hey, I’m Becky, and I help you write like the business you are.
The one they said ‘yes’ to when you met. Or that they’re going to say yes to once we’re finished.
I give you the benefits-led authoritative copy that speaks to your ideal client the way they need to hear it.
When your copy's clear on what’s on offer to who, the decision to buy's easy.
On the menu:
-
Developing and rolling out brand voice
-
Writing whatever you want to existing guidelines
-
Reworking what you’ve already got so it does it right.
-
(For anything not on the menu, ask the chef)
That's one part.
I know there are plenty of you out there producing your own copy and worrying you're secretly fumbling it somehow.
I also know you don’t need to learn the entirety of good writing to learn how to write well for you and your business.
Come along to a WORK-ALONG WORKSHOP and learn your personal cheat code.
I can also be persuaded to go back to my roots with nonfiction PROOFREADING AND COPYEDITING
I say persuaded. I actually really enjoy it, don't be shy about asking...
If it's not on the menu or needs personalising, speak to the chef.

ABOUT BECKY
Hi, I’m Becky, and I write copy that moves faster than the strangely solo woman in the casino bar.
Joke not to your taste? My bad. This is my copy. It's on brand for me. I can make your copy move like lightning and sound like you. How's that?
You need that, seeing as the average online attention span is 8.25 seconds and dropping and that might be all you get.
I help you get the who, what and how of your business across in 10 where it counts.
It’ll be authoritative, it’ll be tight, and it won't be boring.
It'll also be clear on the benefits because people won't buy if you don't show them what it really means for them.
Now we’ve done that bit, I have 9 years writing and editing experience, credits on several works, including the translation of 'Relevant Zoonoses in Veterinary Medicine' from Lithuanian, flash fiction and poetry published in several places, my own really niche book, and a latent spoken word following that still harbours hope nearly two years later.
Extras: Former pawnbroker who got to perv over ver' expensive watches and can identify 22ct gold from the sound it makes (ask me). Helped found a grassroots music and arts festival, founded artists' studios and music rehearsal space. Probably did some other stuff.
Boring extras:
Diploma Proofreading and Editing (CMP)
BA (Hons) Fine Art (SCC)
Studied broadly with the Open University before that, and I think I still have a certificate from the time I tried waterskiing in 1995.
Think I don’t know something about whatever you're up to? I probably do.
If not? I'm a quick study. I didn't know anything about zoonoses or microbiology before I worked on that text. Believe me, I do now.
